春のお彼岸に作るのがぼたもち。
牡丹(ぼたん)の花にちなんでいます。
秋のお彼岸がおはぎなのは、秋に咲く萩(はぎ)の花からー。

BOTAMOCHI

Botamochi we make in vernal Equinoctial week was named after Botan flower that blooms in spring.
And same bean cake made in autumn Equinoctial week is called Ohagi.
It comes from Hagi, the flower of which opens in autumn.
